Rim Lock
Not to be confused with a Rim Cylinder lock, these are fitted on doors that cannot take a Mortice lock, but are able to take these, smaller-width locks. These doors still remain vulnerable to intrusion, because the door can be kicked in, and since both the lock and the recess for the bolt are on the same side of the door, the door is only as strong as the surrounding framework.

Edgware high security lock services

Our Edgware locksmiths are trained to know the most secure options for domestic and commercial properties. We can install and fit door chains, internal door locks, and spy holes to doors, to increase security, especially for the elderly and vulnerable. For Edgware commercial premises, we can install door bolts, combination locks and change manual shutter lock barrels. For all our Edgware customers, we can change door and window handles. All locks supplied come with 2 keys; however, more can be supplied on request, for a small fee.
